Goa Liberation Day, celebrated annually on December 19th, marks a significant moment in India’s history—the day Goa was freed from Portuguese rule in 1961. While ASCONS functions from Navi Mumbai, we proudly join the nation in commemorating this historic event. As a real estate developer committed to quality and progress, we draw inspiration from the spirit of liberation and the pursuit of excellence.
The Historical Significance of Goa Liberation Day
Goa Liberation Day signifies the end of 451 years of Portuguese colonization. On this day, Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Vijay, a strategic military action that led to Goa’s freedom. This pivotal moment not only restored Goa’s sovereignty but also became a symbol of India’s determination to uphold justice and unity. Today, Goa Liberation Day is celebrated with pride, showcasing Goa’s rich culture, heritage, and progress.
